Yash Pal (26 Nov 1926-) is an Indian scientist, educator as well as educationist. In 1988, the University Grants Commission constituted a Committee on National Network System nether the Chairmanship of Prof. Yash Pal to propose measures for networking of libraries as well as data Centres inwards universities, deemed universities, establishment of national importance, UGC data Centres, R & D institutions as well as colleges.
