Cyril Cleverdon (9 September 1914 – four Dec 1997) was a British librarian together with reckoner scientist who is best known for his run on the evaluation of data retrieval systems. The Cranfield experiments were reckoner data retrieval experiments conducted past times Cyril W. Cleverdon at Cranfield University inwards the 1960s, to evaluate the efficiency of indexing systems.
