Harry S. Truman (May 8, 1884 – Dec 26, 1972) was the 33rd President of the the States (1945–53), an American pol of the Democratic Party. In 1946 President Harry S. Truman appointed George F. Zook to chair a 28-member Presidential Commission on Higher Education that was given the accuse of reexamining the United States organization of higher pedagogy "in damage of its objectives, methods, as well as facilities; as well as inward the lite of the social constituent it has to play."
