Harry S. Truman

Harry S. Truman (May 8, 1884 – Dec 26, 1972) was the 33rd President of the the States (1945–53), an American pol of the Democratic Party. In 1946 President Harry S. Truman appointed George F. Zook to chair a 28-member Presidential Commission on Higher Education that was given the accuse of reexamining the United States organization of higher pedagogy "in damage of its objectives, methods, as well as facilities; as well as inward the lite of the social constituent it has to play." In 1947, the Presidential Commission on Higher Education (also called equally The Truman Commission) produced a six-volume study entitled "Higher Education for American Democracy" that recommended changes to expand opportunities for post secondary pedagogy as well as opined that “The Library is mo exclusively to the instructional staff inward its importance for high character instruction as well as research.”
