George F. Zook

In 1946 President Harry S. Truman appointed George F. Zook to chair a 28-member Presidential Commission on Higher Education that was given the accuse of reexamining the the U.S. of A. organisation of higher teaching "in damage of its objectives, methods, together with facilities; together with inwards the lite of the social component division it has to play." In 1947, the Presidential Commission on Higher Education (also called equally The Truman Commission) produced a six-volume study entitled "Higher Education for American Democracy" that recommended changes to expand opportunities for ship service secondary teaching together with opined that “The Library is minute solely to the instructional staff inwards its importance for high lineament instruction together with research.”
